Chemical nature

Orange-red powder or granules. Odorless. Strong hygroscopicity. Light resistance, strong heat resistance. It is stable in citric acid and tartaric acid. It turns brownish red when it meets alkali.
Easily soluble water, neutral and acidic aqueous solutions are orange-yellow, reddish-brown when alkaline, it turns into concentrated sulfuric acid to give an orange liquid, which turns yellow after being replaced with water.

Application

As a food coloring agent, my country stipulates that it can be used in candy coating, red and green silk, and the maximum use amount is 0.20g/kg; it can be used in a variety of beverages, mixed wines, candy, cakes, canned watermelon sauce, green plums and shrimp ( Flavor) tablets, the maximum use amount is 0.10g/kg; in ice cream, the maximum use amount is 0.09g/kg.
