Preparation of Aliquat 336 CAS 5137-55-3
Weigh 1000g of trioctylamine into a beaker, add concentrated hydrochloric acid (the total amount of HCl added is about 103g), magnetically stir, and after the neutralization reaction is completed, use a constant temperature water bath to evaporate about 80% of the water, and then vacuum dry to obtain the product three Octyl ammonium chloride: Weigh 1000g trioctyl ammonium chloride and 235g dimethyl carbonate respectively, and add them to a 10L reaction kettle in turn. After purging with nitrogen to remove the air in the kettle, the reaction is carried out in an airtight manner. The reaction temperature is 170°C.
