Pyogallic acid (CAS 87-66-1) is a chemical reagent and chemical raw material with many uses. It is widely used in pharmaceutical synthesis, dyes, food, pesticides and electronic products, etc., as a developer, heat-sensitive agent, auxiliary agent of polymer materials, and chemical Analytical reagents, etc., and other products cannot be substituted in some fields. At present, the main raw material for the production of pyrogallic acid is gallic acid. Gallic acid is produced by hydrolysis of the forest product Galla Chinensis or Tara. Gallnut is a special product of our country, with good quality and large quantity (the output accounts for about 1/4 of the world output). Therefore, the deep processing of gallnut has great economic and social benefits.
Pyogallic acid (CAS 87-66-1) is white shiny crystal, melting point 131~134℃, boiling point 309℃, relative density 1.46, UVλmax2.88nm when pH=5.4 in water. Easily soluble in water, alcohol and ether, slightly soluble in benzene, chloroform and carbon disulfide. Heating can sublimate. It will turn brown when exposed to light or in the air. When the solution is alkaline, it will quickly absorb oxygen and change color. Packaging: The product is packed in cardboard drums, each with a net weight of 25 kg.
